CCTV & video surveillance
CCTV installation in Zanzibar, planned around what you need to see.
Cameras are only useful if they cover the right places, record clearly at night and keep footage long enough to review an incident. We survey the site, design the camera layout, install and configure the system, and support it afterwards.
- IP & analogue HD systems
- Remote viewing on phone & computer
- Installed & supported locally
What we install
A complete system, from camera to recording
Bullet, dome & turret cameras
IP cameras for indoor and outdoor use, chosen for each position: long views along fences, discreet domes in reception, vandal-resistant models within reach.
PTZ, panoramic & ANPR
Pan-tilt-zoom cameras for car parks and yards, 360° cameras for open areas and number-plate cameras for gates where they are needed.
NVR & DVR recording
Network video recorders sized for the number of cameras, with surveillance-grade hard disks for the retention period you need.
Remote viewing
Live and recorded footage on your phone and computer, set up with secure passwords and up-to-date firmware.
Cabling & PoE
Structured cabling and PoE switches that power cameras over the network cable, with surge protection on outdoor runs.
Backup power
UPS units so cameras and the recorder keep running through power cuts, when recording often matters most.

The questions we answer during the site survey
A camera count alone does not make a good quotation. We walk the site with you and agree what each camera must achieve, whether that is seeing who comes through a gate, reading a number plate, or watching a till.
- Which areas and entrances must be covered, and why
- Lighting at night and the need for colour night vision
- How many days of recording you need to keep
- Who needs to view footage, and from where
- Cable routes, power and where the recorder will sit
- Salt air, sun and rain at outdoor positions

Questions
CCTV installation questions
How much does CCTV installation cost in Zanzibar?
It depends on the number and type of cameras, how long footage must be kept, cable distances and whether remote viewing and backup power are needed. Add your items or areas to the builder above, or ask for a site survey, and we will send an itemised quotation.
IP or analogue cameras?
IP cameras give sharper images, run power and video over one network cable and are easier to expand, so they suit most new installations. Analogue HD can be a sensible upgrade where good coaxial cabling is already in place. We recommend one after the survey.
Can I watch my cameras on my phone?
Yes. We set up remote viewing on phones and computers with strong passwords and current firmware, and show you how to review and export recordings.
How long is footage kept?
That depends on the number of cameras, resolution, recording mode and hard-disk size. We size storage for the retention period you choose; our free CCTV storage calculator gives an estimate.
Do you maintain or repair existing CCTV systems?
Yes. We troubleshoot offline cameras and recording faults, replace failed disks and cameras, and can upgrade older systems.
Ready to plan your cameras?
Book a site survey and we will recommend a CCTV layout that covers what matters.
