Smart home and office questions
Can you automate a house or office that is already built?
Usually, yes. Wireless switches, sensors, smart locks and controllers can be added without chasing new cables into walls. Wired systems are best planned during a new build or major renovation.
What happens during a power cut?
We put hubs, controllers and the network on a UPS so switches, scenes and locks keep working, and fit surge protection. Lights and air-conditioning themselves still need mains or generator power.
Will it work without the internet?
Where it matters, we choose devices and hubs that can be controlled on the local network, so everyday control does not depend on a cloud service. Remote control from outside the building needs an internet connection.
Can smart devices be added to our CCTV and access control?
Where the equipment supports it, yes. We plan cameras, door access and automation on the same secure network so they can be managed together.
